Tai Ji Flow (at one point known as Super Star Acupuncture) was started for the love of Chinese medicine philosophy. This philosophy is eye-opening and transformative regarding its views on life, death, and disease. Our clinic has helped people heal illnesses since October 2018, and spreads this incredible wisdom of Chinese medicine.
In our commitment to quality for you we use high grade Korean acupuncture needles, cotton sheets, and top of the line treatment products.

Acupuncturist & Owner Kate Joy Star L.Ac.
Our acupuncturist brings a decade of experience to Tai Ji Flow, following seven years dedicated to building her first acupuncture practice located in northen LA.
A massage therapist first, Kate practiced Swedish, Shiatsu, and Thai massage. This experience developed her expertise in the layers of the body and the power of touch.
Kate chose to divide her acupuncture training among 3 programs for her masters, which included her moving across the country to California: Finger Lakes College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in NY, Emperor's College in Santa Monica, and Dongguk University LA, as well as clinics in Veterans Affairs and the USC Student Health Center. Each one provided her with unique insight, viewing this medicine from different angles and depths, professor’s interpretations, and cultural diversity.
Her post graduate work includes Master Jia Yu's family lineage acupuncture theory a powerful treatment style dating back to 1492 (and earlier) especially beneficial for treatment of pain; Mary Elizabeth Wakefield’s work on Constitutional Facial Acupuncture; experiencing a variety of diets personally to see how each affected the body; European connections with food and ways of eating; and Taoist philosophy.
Her passion is incorporating Chinese medicine philosophy into real life practices, to bring an abundance of healing and joy for those who she connects with.
